In 2019, friends EJ McCoy and Josh Cahill founded Chorbie in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.
Before Chorbie’s foundation, they offered lawn care and pest control services under the Weed Xtinguishers brand. As the business of Weed Xtinguishers grew, more and more requests and referrals for additional services such as landscaping, handyman, and pool cleaning services were made. Recognizing the need in the marketplace, the duo decided to form Chorbie with the mission of giving homeowners a single source for all their home services.
Since its creation, Chorbie has been making progress on its mission. Its service offering has expanded to include landscaping, handyman, pools, plumbing, and more. Chorbie started offering franchises for its brand to allow more service providers to operate under the brand. In the Spring of 2023, Chorbie granted its first franchise in DFW. In the future, Chorbie plans to award more franchises and develop technology that will improve the customer experience and change the antiquated home services industry.
