This March, members of the Chorbie team joined volunteers from Gateway Church for a meaningful day of service. Together, they packed meals for the Children’s Hunger Fund, knowing each box would bring hope to children and families in need.
Volunteering is at the heart of what we do. For Chorbie, giving back is not just something we talk about. It’s part of who we are.
Serving Together as the Chorbie Family
Alongside volunteers from Gateway Church, the Chorbie team assembled meal kits for distribution. Throughout the day, volunteers measured ingredients, sealed packages, and stacked boxes. While the tasks were simple, their impact was far greater. Each meal packed brought hope to a child and comfort to a family facing hunger.
The event brought together members of the Chorbie family from across the company. Owner EJ McCoy joined with his wife and daughter, while Head of Operations Michael Bridges and Chief Development Officer Cynthia Hernandez participated alongside their families. Several field technicians and media team members also volunteered, many bringing loved ones.
Watching multiple generations work together and contribute to a common goal shows that giving back is not just an individual effort, but a collective one that strengthens families, communities, and the world around us.
A Partnership that Feeds Hope
Chorbie has proudly partnered with Children’s Hunger Fund for more than 10 years, supporting their mission to provide meals and hope to children and families facing food insecurity worldwide.
This March, we brought that partnership to life by helping pack meals, bringing the mission full circle, and seeing firsthand the impact of our work. As EJ McCoy shared, “Everything packed here is being delivered this week to communities across North Texas and beyond”.
Beyond the volunteer day, every job completed by Chorbie helps provide a meal through the Children’s Hunger Fund. That means every lawn service appointment and pest control visit contributes to feeding children in need.
The Heart Behind Chorbie Cares
Through the Chorbie Cares initiative, our team comes together each quarter to serve the communities where we live and work through hands-on volunteer projects.
From packing care boxes for deployed troops to preparing meals for local food banks and supporting church community events, Chorbie employees regularly dedicate their time and energy to making a positive impact.
These events give our teams a chance to step away from daily routines and focus on serving others while strengthening the communities around us.
